A Day At The Four Seasons, Nevis

Guest Commentary

While on a cruising the Caribbean  last spring we decided to visit the Four Seasons resort on Nevis for the day while the boat was docked at nearby St Kitts. The reason for this was to see if we would consider staying at this fine resort on a future visit.

What I will tell you is that from the time you step in to the lobby and see the very nice furniture and beautiful view of palm trees and ocean I thought I was in paradise.

We had lunch outside just a few steps away from the soft sand and beach. People were extremely friendly which is what I expected from a top resort. The food was much better than the food you get at a local restaurant. And the scenery was beautiful.  At the hotel we went on a tour and was much impressed by the size of the rooms and options for ocean or mountain views. Either suites are nice. The gym was very spacious and kept at a cool temperature.  We walked to the spa and it seemed once we got there we were in heaven. Here there was a secluded hot tub and a private small pool with tropical trees and gardens everywhere. Private massage rooms and cool water was always available along with relaxing music.

Our next stop was the tennis courts which have both clay and true surfaces.  We then made our way back to the beach and pool areas to enjoy the day.

The pools were kept at a nice cool to comfy temp. Not warm but not cold where you hesitate to go in. Just perfect to cool yourself off and stay in the pool since the temperature  was hot. I was most impressed by how comfortable the lounge chairs were along the pool. It was like lying on a soft couch. And the service is that separates this resort form others. While relaxing on the lounge chair there  would get employees walking around offering us cool wet towels to cool off, as well as snacks, sorbet and  water with lemon.  They have their own dock and boats to take to people to neighboring St.Kitts so you do not have to take a slow ferry with hundreds of people. Their private boats are only for guests at the hotel. We saw a combination of couples and families with children ranging from very young to teenage years.  It should be noted that there are a few pools that are for adults only who want a more quiet poolside experience.

The beach had plenty of chairs and the sand to ocean was very pleasant. The Four Seasons gives you the experience of being the most important person in the resort..
